Jenn Morrell
Growing up in California's Santa Ynez Valley, Jenn developed an early appreciation for the outdoors. During high school, she spent summers in the Sierra Nevada, experiences that sparked a lifelong connection to mountain landscapes. She later worked at a mountain resort and as a Forest Service ranger, helping visitors understand the natural and cultural stories of the places they explored,
Jenn earned a bachelor's degree in natural resources planning and interpretation from Cal Poly Humboldt and later completed a master's degree in parks and recreation management.
Her career with the National Park Service began in Yellowstone and continued in Glacier and Yosemite national parks. Along the way, she worked in landscapes ranging from the dunes and desert of Mojave National Preserve to the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and sites along the Missouri River in Omaha, Nebraska, where she interpreted the history of the Lewis and Clark expedition. After completing her master's degree, Jenn served as program director for an outdoor education nonprofit in Santa Barbara County before returning to Montana and the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
For more than 30 years, Jenn has helped people connect with nature, history and place through interpretation and outdoor education. Her travels have taken her whitewater rafting through the Grand Canyon and exploring New Zealand, Israel and Ireland.
Jenn lives in Bozeman, Montana. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her Labrador retriever, spending time with her church community, reading, creative writing, photography and graphic design.
