Physical Requirements
At Nat Hab, we provide access to some of the most wondrous nature encounters the world has to offer. Many take place in destinations that are wild and remote, with varying physical demands and limited medical facilities. All trips may not be suitable for every traveler. In order to participate in this itinerary, travelers must comfortably and reliably be able to execute all physical requirements as noted below.

Visit 9 locations over 18 days with 2 gorilla treks included
Early morning departures for treks and wildlife viewing
Travelers must be able to hike at least 3 miles unassisted over steep, wet, and uneven terrain.
Treks typically range from 3–8 miles and involve 3–4 hours of activity over varying elevation, on two consecutive days.
The pace is generally steady and moderate.
In Uganda, one or two longer hikes may be offered for more active travelers.
In Kenya and Tanzania, walking is limited due to wildlife activity.
Travelers should be comfortable walking unassisted around camp and climbing stairs to board small planes.
Terrain includes gravel, pavement, dirt paths, grass, and soft sand, with some walking by flashlight after dark around camp.
