Nicholas Hudson2025
Nicholas grew up among the rolling hills of Yorkshire, England—a landscape that has long inspired literary classics such as Wuthering Heights and All Creatures Great and Small. Life in this rural setting nurtured his deep connection to the natural world and sparked a lifelong curiosity about wildlife, landscapes and ecosystems across the globe. His early years exploring moors and woodlands fostered both a love of storytelling and an appreciation for the intricate balance of nature.
He went on to study human geography at the University of York where his academic work explored the relationship between people and place. His dissertation focused on the city’s annual Viking Festival, reflecting his interest in how history, culture and community shape identity. After completing his master’s degree, Nicholas pursued his long-held dream of working in travel and guiding—a career that allowed him to merge his passions for nature, history and education.
Since 2022 Nicholas has guided in the Cotswolds, and in 2025 he joined Natural Habitat Adventures as an Expedition Leader, leading travelers through one of England’s most timeless and picturesque regions. He’s especially captivated by the Cotswolds’ mix of wildlife, pastoral beauty and cultural heritage—elements he artfully weaves into every tour to create a rich, immersive experience.
When not guiding, Nicholas enjoys hiking, cycling and climbing, pursuits that keep him close to the landscapes he loves. He also dedicates quiet evenings to writing a fantasy novel he began in 2021.
