Physical Requirements
At Nat Hab, we provide access to some of the most wondrous nature encounters the world has to offer. Many take place in destinations that are wild and remote, with varying physical demands and limited medical facilities. All trips may not be suitable for every traveler. In order to participate in this itinerary, travelers must comfortably and reliably be able to execute all physical requirements as noted below.

One day includes more than 4 hours of overland travel
Travelers must be able to walk continuously for 3 miles unassisted along a variety of terrain and should expect to walk a total of 3-7 miles per day
Hikes range from 2-6 miles each; travelers should expect 3-5 hours of physical activity daily
Most hikes are at a leisurely pace with guided interpretation and snack breaks
Terrain is uneven and includes occasional steep inclines over rolling, rocky terrain with roots and possible slippery surfaces
For hikes longer than 3 miles, shorter alternatives may be available and the group may be split based on speed and ability
Travel by van or minibus
Transport is mostly on paved roads, sometimes narrow and winding, with some well-maintained dirt road
Not appropriate for travelers using wheelchairs, walkers or canes
Daytime temps range from 60–90°F, hottest in summer
Evenings can be cool, especially inland
Inland Slovenia: warm days, possible afternoon thunderstorms
Heavy wind and rain showers possible year-round
Highest elevation is 5,400 feet at the top of the chairlift on Vogel Mountain
